Admission and Registration Process

Registration process

Usually, our outpatient clinics operate through an appointment system. However, walk-in patients are also taken.

To avoid inconvenience and delays it is advisable to guide the patients on the system and options. Any patient visiting the hospital for the first time, with an appointment, through the Emergency or as a walk-in patient needs to register.

The information to be provided at the registration counter must be accurate in the sense that the name of the patient, the address and telephone contact numbers, and the CNIC number must be correct. Please ensure that any changes in information must be communicated so that no inconvenience is faced.

This registration generates a file with a Medical Record Number or M.R. # that saves all records of visits, consultations/Investigations, etc.

Admission & Discharge Process

All admissions and Discharge are at the reception desk.

All admissions are subject to the availability of beds.

For admissions of stable patients, you may refer to the outpatient Consulting Clinic. For critically ill patients come to the Emergency. At the time of admission, the referring authority issues an ‘In-Patient Reservation Form’ which details provisional diagnosis, etc. The patient comes for Admission at the reception desk, submits the form, and chooses the room category, by consulting the Inpatient Charges & Consent for Payment. The patient is given the room of choice (subject to availability). Some Companies are registered on the Panel. You may consult the Panel List to know if you can avail of the facility.

Consultants at the Outpatient Department (OPD) may decide to admit a patient and in this case, it is advisable to book the bed and Operation Theatre (if required) in advance. Bookings are done at the admission reception counter in the hospital lobby.

Some emergencies come through the Accident & Emergency Medicine Department, which is open 24 hours, every day of the week. Admission is a simple process where you register the details of your case and pay a deposit.
